This Privacy Policy explains how WattFigure handles information when you use the public website or contact us.

Calculator entries

The appliance calculator runs in your browser. Appliance names, wattage, schedules, duty cycles, and rate selections are stored in session storage only to preserve the worksheet during the current browser session. The calculator does not submit those entries to our server. Closing the browser session clears them, subject to browser behavior.

Server and security data

Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may process limited technical data needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, response status, and security events. Access to administrative functions may use essential session and security cookies. Logs are retained only as reasonably needed for operation, security, and troubleshooting.

Messages

If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, investigate a reported issue, and maintain necessary correspondence. Do not send utility account numbers, full bills, passwords, or other sensitive information.

Analytics and advertising

WattFigure does not currently configure third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, or live advertising code on the public site. Empty advertising placements render no advertising element. If third-party advertising or analytics is enabled later, this policy and the Cookie Policy must be updated before activation to explain the providers, purposes, choices, and applicable consent controls.

If Google AdSense is enabled in the future, Google will act as a third-party advertising provider and may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted and selected. Google and its partners may use information from visits to this and other sites. Google historically described one advertising identifier as the DoubleClick DART cookie. Users can learn about Google advertising data practices and available controls at Google's advertising technologies policy and Google Ads Settings. Appropriate consent and choice controls must be implemented before such advertising is activated where required.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell calculator entries or contact information. Service providers may process limited technical data on our behalf to host, secure, or maintain the site. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate abuse. Retention depends on operational, security, and correspondence needs.

Your choices

You can close the browser session to clear the calculator worksheet, decline to email us, and use browser controls for site data. To ask a privacy question, use the Contact page.

Children

WattFigure is a general household information service and is not directed to children. Please contact us if you believe a child provided personal information through an email message.

Policy changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page. Because the launch date and future service changes are not predetermined, WattFigure does not display a fabricated effective or update date.
